The Walrus Audio Voyager MKII is a mid-focused overdrive and preamp, a significant evolution of the original Voyager, bringing a host of new features to the beloved Klon-style circuit. It retains the "mythical magic" of that transparent overdrive design but expands its versatility immensely. At lower gain settings, the Voyager MKII acts as a brilliant preamp, enhancing your core tone with superb clarity and a focused mid-range presence. As you increase the gain, it smoothly transitions into a thick, full-bodied overdrive, adding depth to chords while maintaining the note-to-note articulation needed for searing lead lines.

A major enhancement is the addition of a footswitchable parametric mid-frequency EQ. This feature allows for a $\pm$12dB boost or cut, paired with a Freq knob to dial in the center frequency between 250Hz and 2kHz. This deep level of tone sculpting lets you precisely tailor the pedal's voice to any guitar or pickup combination, giving you the power to cut through a mix or create a subtle tonal foundation. Its rugged, compact construction and true bypass switching ensure your signal integrity, whether the pedal is engaged or off.

The true secret to the MKII's versatility lies in its five-way rotary switch, which offers a selection of clipping options beyond the traditional Klon design. You can choose from the classic compressed tone of 1N34A Germanium diodes (Mode 1), the same Germanium diodes with a bass boost (Mode 2), symmetric Silicon diodes for a more open and dynamic response (Mode 3), or asymmetric Silicon diodes for the least compressed, most driven voice (Mode 4). The fifth mode combines the asymmetric Silicon diodes with a bass boost, providing an infinite supply of tonal flavors that can be further fine-tuned with the new parametric EQ section.
