Description
Used 2024 PRS Sonzera 20w 1x12 Combo
At Palen Music Center, we love amplifiers that manage to bridge the gap between vintage American tone and modern versatility, and the PRS Sonzera 20 does exactly that. The name "Sonzera" is slang for a stunning or cool sound, and this combo lives up to the title by offering a "two-amps-in-one" experience. At the heart of this circuit are two 5881 power tubes. These tubes are critical to the amp's character, providing the sturdy, rugged bottom end and bell-like headroom associated with classic American amplifiers from the mid-1960s. When paired with the four ECC83S preamp tubes, the result is a 3-dimensional clean channel that remains tight and articulate, even when you dig in.
Beyond the sparkling cleans, the Sonzera 20 is built for complete sonic control. The gain channel is circuit-linked to the clean side but is designed to be manipulated into a completely different beast, ranging from a slight boosted breakup to heavy, saturated distortion. A specifically tailored bright switch on the gain channel ensures you never lose that high-end snap, making it particularly effective for preserving clarity on neck pickups or single-coils. With a global spring reverb that adds ambience without washing out your notes and a transparent effects loop for your time-based pedals, this amp is a true workhorse. Housed in a robust poplar plywood cabinet loaded with a Celestion V-Type speaker, the Sonzera 20 is ready for the studio or the stage.
Condition: Excellent. Light wear typical of a gently used Amp. Light surface scratches, scuffs, etc. There is a scratch on the back.
This item includes everything pictured.
