Description
Two-Rock TS1 100W Head with 2x12 Vertical Cabinet - Black Lacquer Tweed
Welcome to tone heaven! Here at Palen Music Center, we are thrilled to showcase the ultimate boutique half stack: the Two-Rock TS1 100-Watt Head paired with its matching 2x12 Vertical Speaker Cabinet, exquisitely finished in a custom Black Lacquer Tweed with cane cloth grilles and sharp black piping. Originally developed as a tribute to master luthier Taku Sakashta, the TS1 is Two-Rock’s celebrated take on the iconic cascading gain stage D-style circuit. This platform offers two distinct yet seamlessly integrated sonic personalities, delivering expansive, three-dimensional clean tones that transition effortlessly into a singing, highly articulate lead channel with rich harmonic bloom and endless sustain.
At the heart of the TS1's remarkable voice is an all-tube architecture powered by four 12AX7 preamp tubes and a formidable quartet of 6L6 power tubes. The 6L6 power section provides massive clean headroom, an authoritative, tight low-end, and a glassy top-end chime. When pushed, these tubes produce a warm, touch-sensitive midrange compression that responds intuitively to every nuance of your pick attack and guitar volume adjustments. For situations where you need that singing, saturated sweet spot at club or studio volumes, the integrated half-power switch easily scales the head down from 100 watts to 50 watts without compromising dynamic feel.
Both pieces in this setup reflect uncompromising California craftsmanship. The head’s versatile front panel includes a footswitchable FET preamp circuit, tone stack bypass, dedicated voicing switches, and Two-Rock’s fully configurable, tube-buffered effects loop. Beneath the head, the matching 2x12 vertical cabinet is built from void-free multi-ply birch featuring tuned internal bracing and Two-Rock’s proprietary tuned rear port. Loaded with two 12-inch Two-Rock TR12 speakers rated at 200 watts, the cabinet blends the punch and low-end authority of a closed-back box with the open, airy 3D dispersion of an open-back enclosure, making this half stack a truly world-class centerpiece for any player.
