This special edition snare drum is 14"x6.5" in size and made of 11mm, 12-ply Hickory with an attractive outer layer of Elm. Typically used in the production of drumsticks, the Hickory shell produces a bright and sharp sound. The drum's thickness and shorter depth than usual result in a snare that is both powerful and sensitive. The die-cast hoop adds to the punchy attack, while the carbon steel snare wires offer a crisp buzz. The snare drum strikes a perfect balance between volume and sensitivity. Although similar to maple shells in versatility, the dry characteristics of Hickory make it an ideal auxiliary snare drum. It is also suitable for any genre due to its wide tuning range.
