PRS Guitars SE CE 24 Standard Stoptail - Vintage Cherry Satin
The magic of a bolt-on neck meets classic PRS construction in this model, delivering professional quality without the flagship price tag. The foundation of this SE CE 24 is an all-mahogany solid body, offering a rich, warm tone with deep resonance and sustain. Paired with a maple neck, you get the snap and clarity signature to bolt-on designs, making this guitar highly responsive to your playing dynamics—from crisp cleans to high-gain aggression. The gorgeous Vintage Cherry Satin finish applied to the body is thin and breathable, allowing the wood to resonate freely, giving you an unexpectedly large voice for a workhorse instrument.
The voice of this road warrior comes from a pair of PRS 85/15 “S” humbuckers. Designed by Paul Reed Smith himself, these uncovered pickups offer extended high and low end clarity, ensuring your tone cuts through any mix without sounding harsh. Plus, with the push/pull tone control for coil splitting, you can instantly switch from thick humbucking growl to snappy single-coil chime, making it one of the most versatile guitars in our shop. This combination of pickups and tonewoods delivers the celebrated PRS “in-between” tone—blending the thump of mahogany with the clarity of a maple neck.
The CE (Classic Electric) line is celebrated for bringing the distinct feel of a bolt-on maple neck to the PRS platform, a design favored by artists who need reliability and a bright attack, such as Billy Martin of Good Charlotte. With a comfortable Wide Thin neck profile, iconic "Old School" Bird inlays on a rosewood fretboard, and a rock-solid PRS Stoptail bridge with brass inserts, this is a reliable instrument built to handle everything from studio tracking to rigorous touring schedules.
