Description
Santa Cruz D Model - Natural
If traditional dreadnoughts have ever left you searching for better balance and clarity in the mix, the Santa Cruz D Model is the absolute "Trojan Horse" of acoustic guitars—familiar on the outside, but bursting with innovative brilliance on the inside. Crafted with a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, this beauty pairs time-honored lutherie with Santa Cruz's signature tapered bracing. The Sitka Spruce top brings an incredible stiffness-to-weight ratio, offering a lightning-fast acoustic response and shimmering highs that never break up when you dig in hard. Meanwhile, the rich Indian Rosewood back and sides deliver those deep, chocolatey lows and harmonically complex overtones that players drool over, all without muddying up your melodic lines.
Celebrated by legendary flatpickers and acoustic icons like Tony Rice and jamgrass pioneer Bill Nershi of The String Cheese Incident, dreadnoughts from Santa Cruz are built to dominate the stage or studio with effortless power. Thanks to its comfortable mahogany neck with a smooth round-barrel profile and a silky ebony fingerboard, your fretting hand will feel right at home whether you're chugging out heavy rhythm chords or soaring through intricate flatpicked leads. It’s a masterclass in acoustic engineering that proves you don’t have to sacrifice punchy midrange and sparkling trebles to get a massive dreadnought roar.
