Description
Santa Cruz 1929 OO - 1929 Standard
Get ready to fall head over heels for a warm, intimate acoustic experience with the Santa Cruz 1929 OO! Crafted as a heartfelt tribute to the vintage all-mahogany instruments born during the Great Depression, this double-O beauty delivers a surprisingly robust, velvety voice from its comfortably sized body frame. Featuring a solid mahogany top, back, sides, and neck, it radiates a punchy midrange and focused fundamentals. Mahogany tops naturally act as a gentle compressor, smoothing out aggressive strumming while offering a dark, woody warmth and sweet overtones that fingerpickers and blues players live for.
Step onto the stage or kick back on the porch, and you will hear why all-mahogany small-body instruments have won over legendary roots, folk, and blues musicians throughout guitar history. Paired with a delicate 1929-style ivoroid rosette, an unbound headstock, and scalloped Sitka spruce bracing underneath, this guitar breathes and reacts instantaneously to every nuance of your touch. The short 24.75" scale length, wider 1-3/4" nut width, and comfortable V-shaped neck profile make bending notes and navigating complex chord progressions feel like absolute butter.
