Description
Santa Cruz 00 Custom 42 Style Orcas Island Cedar and Waterfall Bubinga - Firefly Finish
This Santa Cruz 00 Custom is a show-stopping acoustic crafted with an extraordinary combination of exotic tonewoods and elaborate custom 42 Style appointments. Built around a striking Orcas Island Cedar top and Waterfall Bubinga back and sides, this small-bodied 00 delivers an impressively rich, warm, and balanced sound with round basses and a sweet, crystalline high end. Bubinga, often revered as "African Rosewood," provides the warm, complex overtones and glassy ring of traditional rosewood while maintaining incredible note separation across the entire frequency spectrum. Paired with the warm, highly responsive Orcas Island Cedar top, this instrument produces a huge, woody voice with immediate projection that responds effortlessly to a light touch or expressive fingerstyle playing.
Beyond its extraordinary voice, this guitar is a visual masterpiece featuring Santa Cruz's breathtaking "Firefly" custom top finish. The body, fingerboard, and peghead are wrapped in elegant Ivoroid binding paired with radiant 42 Style Blue Paua inserts, top borders, and rosettes. The custom detailing continues down to the heel cap, which showcases a unique canoe scrimshaw design, custom Blue Paua vine inlays on the fingerboard, leaf inlays on the bridge feet, and a custom Dalmatian pickguard.
Models built by Santa Cruz Guitar Company have graced the hands of acoustic icons like Eric Clapton, Doc Watson, Tony Rice, and Brad Paisley. Whether you are a studio player or a dedicated collector, this custom 00 is an heirloom-quality instrument that offers unmatched craftsmanship, incredible tonal depth, and a look that will turn heads in any room.
