Description
PRS SE Custom 24 - Slate Blue
When Paul Reed Smith introduced the Custom 24 at the 1985 NAMM Show, it set a brand-new standard for what a modern electric guitar could achieve. Over the decades, legends like Carlos Santana and Dave Navarro have made the Custom 24 platform a cornerstone of their iconic tones. The PRS SE Custom 24 carries that legendary DNA straight to your hands, delivering roadworthy reliability, boutique aesthetics, and world-class playability without the boutique price tag—all wrapped in a striking Slate Blue finish over a figured maple veneer.
At the foundation of this instrument is the time-tested tonewood recipe that put PRS on the map. A resonant solid mahogany back supplies warm, singing sustain, while the maple top provides bite, attack, and crystalline highs. Glued into the body is a multi-ply maple neck carved to PRS’s fast, ergonomic Wide Thin profile. Topped with a silky 24-fret rosewood fingerboard showcasing the signature PRS bird inlays, it offers effortless access across two full octaves.
Plug it into your favorite amplifier, and the SE Custom 24 shows off its immense sonic versatility. The dual PRS 85/15 "S" humbuckers serve up a wide frequency response with rich, tight lows and clear, sparkling highs that stay articulate even under heavy overdrive. Need spanky single-coil chime for funk, pop, or clean ambient passages? Simply pull up on the tone control to engage coil-splitting. Combined with the smooth, expressive PRS Patented Tremolo, this guitar is primed to handle any musical genre you throw its way.
