Description
PRS Private Stock SC56 - Sandstorm Glow with Palen Mountain Scene
Crafted from hand-selected vault woods, this PRS Private Stock SC56 is a true masterwork of American guitar luthiery. The body pairs a resonant Swamp Ash back with a jaw-dropping Maple Burl top, finished in a stunning Sandstorm Glow high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. Up front, the Curly Maple neck features a comfortable Pattern Vintage carve and is capped with a unique Ebony and Quilted Maple fingerboard. The visual showcase continues across the fretboard and headstock veneer with the custom "Palen Music 'Mountain scene'" inlays, exquisitely detailed using Black Mother of Pearl, White Mother of Pearl, Gold Mother of Pearl, Paua Heart, Ziricote, and Burl.
Tonal versatility is at the heart of this single-cut design. The combination of a Seymour Duncan Antiquity P-90 in the neck position and a DMO humbucker in the bridge delivers a vast spectrum of rich, articulate voices—from throaty, vintage P-90 bite to tight, dynamic humbucking punch. Controlled by dual volume and dual tone knobs with a 3-way toggle switch, this setup offers endless sound-shaping potential. The SC body style builds on the celebrated single-cut platform favored by rock legends like Mark Tremonti and Carlos Santana, blending iconic vintage feel with modern PRS engineering.
Beyond its striking looks and versatile electronics, this SC56 is built for effortless performance. It comes equipped with a gold PRS Gen III tremolo bridge, Phase III set-screw locking tuners with elegant Ebony buttons, a bone nut, and custom Swamp Ash backplates. Every element of this guitar reflects the absolute pinnacle of PRS craftsmanship, making it both an extraordinary collector's piece and an inspiring instrument to play.
