Description
PRS Private Stock Custom 24 - Frostbite Glow
Since its debut in 1985, the PRS Custom 24 has stood as the definitive centerpiece of Paul Reed Smith design, redefining modern electric guitar craftsmanship. Embraced by legendary guitarists ranging from Carlos Santana and Al Di Meola to Dave Navarro, the Custom 24 model is celebrated worldwide for its perfect ergonomic balance, effortless playability, and immense tonal scope. Private Stock #12434 elevates this iconic legacy into elite art, crafted by master luthiers using woods hand-selected by the dealer straight from the famous PRS Private Stock Vault.
The body of this guitar is a masterclass in visual and acoustic harmony. It features an extraordinary Maple Burl top draped in a stunning Frostbite Glow stain, offering mesmerizing figure and deep visual dimension. On the back, lightweight Swamp Ash finished in a sleek White wash with Black grainfill adds a striking contrast while delivering punchy resonance and airy sustain.
Moving to the neck, players will experience luxurious comfort paired with breathtaking aesthetics. The Curly Maple neck features a matching Frostbite Fade stain and is carved into PRS’s ergonomic Pattern Regular profile. Atop the dark Ebony fingerboard, hand-crafted Curly Maple bird inlays are stained to match the body and framed in glowing White Mother of Pearl outlines, extending to a matching Private Stock Eagle on the Ebony headstock veneer.
Underneath the hood, this Custom 24 delivers world-class dynamic tone courtesy of a set of PRS DMO treble and bass humbucking pickups. Wired through a intuitive control layout consisting of a single volume, single tone, and a 5-way blade switch, this instrument effortlessly transitions from glassy, articulate single-coil chime to thick, singing humbucker leads with incredible clarity.
Finished with a high-gloss nitrocellulose coating that lets the tonewoods breathe and age gracefully, this Private Stock piece is equipped with top-tier Smoked Black hardware. The PRS Gen III tremolo bridge and Phase III locking tuners ensure flawless tuning stability and rock-solid performance. Whether destined for the stage, studio, or a world-class collection, Private Stock #12434 represents the absolute peak of modern American guitar building.
