The guitar that started it all! When Paul Reed Smith headed to NAMM in 1985, he brought the Custom 24 along and changed the trajectory of the modern electric guitar forever. This "10-Top" edition takes that legacy to the next level, pairing a stunningly figured Maple top with a rich Mahogany back. This classic tonewood combination provides the perfect balance of snap, sustain, and warmth that has made the "Custom" a staple for legends like Carlos Santana and Al Di Meola.
Under the hood, you’ll find the newly designed DMO (Deep Musicality Optimization) pickups. Personally voiced by Paul Reed Smith, these humbuckers offer an incredible frequency range with crystal-clear highs and a punchy low end that never gets muddy. Whether you are navigating the 5-way blade switch for glassy single-coil textures or pushing a high-gain amp, these pickups respond with remarkable sensitivity.
