If you are chasing the legendary sound of a cranked vintage British stack, the Wampler Plexi-Drive Deluxe is here to deliver. Building on the beloved foundation of the classic Plexi-Drive circuit, this deluxe version captures the raw power of a vintage JTM-45 turned up to ten, alongside the tight, coveted overdrive of late '60s and early '70s British amplifiers. It brings authentic, amp-like Plexi tones right to your pedalboard with an incredibly dynamic response.
This versatile overdrive pedal offers immense tonal control to help you shape your perfect sound. Wampler has equipped the Deluxe model with a powerful 3-band active EQ, allowing you to sculpt your bass, middle, and treble frequencies with studio-grade precision. You will also find a handy bright switch for dialing in the perfect amount of high-end sparkle, plus a bass boost switch to add a low-end thump reminiscent of a moving 4x12 speaker cabinet.
One of the standout features of the Plexi-Drive Deluxe is its independent pre-gain boost. Voiced like a classic, mid-heavy TS-style overdrive, this built-in boost is perfect for pushing your rhythm crunch into thick, creamy lead saturation. Built right here in the U.S.A. with high-grade components for rugged reliability, this pedal also features convenient top-mounted jacks and relay true bypass switching.
