Handcrafted in Costa Mesa, California, this amplifier features robust Baltic birch cabinet construction housing a custom hand-wound Bad Cat transformer and a premier UK-made 12-inch Celestion Greenback speaker. The re-voiced EQ closely matches the iconic 1999 Mark Sampson-designed Cub, delivering dynamic response, rich harmonics, and exceptional balance across every level of gain.
At the heart of the Cub 15 is a tube circuit powered by three 12AX7 preamp tubes pushing a pair of EL84 power tubes. The EL84 power section provides classic British bite, chime, and sweet, musical power-amp distortion when pushed, while the 12AX7 front-end maintains touch-sensitive clarity and rich preamp warmth.
Designed for ultimate versatility, the single-channel layout features a Clean/Overdrive selector switch alongside two foot-switchable master volume controls.
