Based on the Original Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-1 from the 1960s, the first commercially available fuzz pedal ever.

Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-M Fuzz Pedal

The Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-1 was the first commercially available dirt pedal. Introduced in 1962, it became the foundation of Keith Richards's guitar tone on 1965's "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", and has appeared on countless recordings and stages since then. The all analog FZ-M pays homage to the classic, and adds a toggle switch for a Modern sound as well.

One pedal, two fuzz tones

The FZ-M is essentially two pedals in one. Of course, there are classic fuzz tones inspired by the original FZ-1, but the Mode toggle switch allows you to choose a more modern, thicker sounding fuzz as well. The Classic tone cuts through any mix, while the Modern setting offers you a tone that blends more with the overall mix. The Modern setting in particular is also stellar for bass players.

3 Knobs is all you need

The Maestro FZ-M's secret sauce is its simplicity. The 3-knob layout makes dialing in the perfect fuzz tone simply effortless. The Attack knob controls the amount of fuzz, while the Tone knob takes it from thick and warm to bright and cutting, and of course, everything in between. The Level control sets your output volume, which has the headroom to take you far beyond unity, for those times when you really want to make an impact.
