Palen Music Center Shipping Policy
We are committed to getting your music gear to you quickly and safely. Please review our shipping guidelines below.
FREE Standard Shipping
FREE Standard Shipping is offered on most orders totaling over $50.00 within the contiguous United States.
Orders totaling less than $50.00 will incur a small, calculated shipping charge.
Please note: Certain items (e.g., specific percussion accessories) may require a larger box and result in a freight charge visible at checkout, even if the order is over $50.
Processing & Shipping Time
Same-Day Shipping: All in-stock orders received Monday through Friday by 3:00 PM CST are processed and shipped the same business day.
Orders placed after 3:00 PM CST, or on weekends/major US Holidays, will be shipped on the next business day.
Carrier Selection: We currently ship via USPS and UPS. Palen Music Center reserves the right to select the most appropriate carrier and service level for your order to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Exceptions & Special Charges
Over-Sized/Heavy Items: For particularly large or heavy items such as acoustic drums, select guitar amplifiers, large speakers, and certain keyboards, an additional freight surcharge may be required. This will be communicated to you, and we will not ship the item until we have your approval on the final quote.
Shipping to Alaska & Hawaii: Orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii are subject to an additional shipping surcharge, which will be calculated and communicated to you prior to shipment.
Backorders: If an item you have purchased is sold out or on backorder, we will contact you promptly with an updated shipping timeline and any alternative options.
Expedited Shipping: If you require guaranteed UPS Two-Day or Next-Day shipping, please contact us before placing your order for an accurate pricing quote and availability check.
Shipping Restrictions
US Shipping Only: Due to our dealer agreements and logistics, we only ship to addresses within the United States. We are unable to ship to international destinations, including US territories.
P.O. Boxes: We may be limited in shipping to P.O. Boxes depending on the size of the item. Please provide a physical street address whenever possible.

Subject to the Tariff/Terms and Conditions of Service, UPS guarantees on-schedule delivery of packages, shipped via UPS's services, that are listed as guaranteed, or will refund your transportation charges. Guaranteed Service is not available in all areas and does not apply to shipments containing a package with an Additional Handling or Large Package surcharge. Scheduled business days and delivery schedules are revised occasionally due to changes in distribution and volume, especially during holiday periods. Service to some remote areas also may require additional delivery days. The most up-to-date transit time details will be available at ups.com/ctc at the time of shipping. Certain commodities and high value shipments may require additional transit time for customs clearance.
