Harkening back to the glory days of the early 1990s when import Jackson guitars were meticulously crafted exclusively in Japan, the Jackson MJ Series Dinky DKR Basswood brings that highly sought-after pedigree into the modern era. This absolute shred machine is meticulously engineered for high-speed, virtuoso playing, carrying forward a legendary heritage embraced by legendary technical players like Scott Ian, Adrian Smith, and Randy Rhoads. With its aggressively contoured lines, reversed pointy headstock, and premium build quality, this instrument is built to look as fierce as it sounds.
At the core of this guitar’s incredible sonic performance is a perfectly balanced combination of tonewoods. The ergonomically sculpted basswood body offers a lightweight feel and a punchy, mid-forward resonance that serves as the perfect canvas for high-gain articulation. It is paired with an ultra-stable, bolt-on 5-piece maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple neck, featuring graphite reinforcement to resist climate-induced warping. On top sits a lightning-fast 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard with rolled edges, pearloid sharkfin inlays, and 24 jumbo frets, allowing your hands to glide effortlessly from heavy rhythm work near the nut to blistering leads in the upper register.
To deliver authentic, professional-grade tonal clout, Jackson loaded this powerhouse with the ultimate humbucking duo: a Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Jazz SH-2N in the neck.
