At Palen Music Center, we are thrilled to bring you the Greenhoe GC4-1R Large Bore Tenor Trombone—an exquisite instrument that celebrates the golden era of classic American brass design while delivering modern acoustic excellence. Built in close partnership with Schilke Music Products, each GC4-1R is crafted using state-of-the-art technology alongside traditional old-world assembly methods to ensure a completely stress-free, resonant instrument that sings with ease.
At the core of the GC4-1R is an ultra-responsive 8.5-inch two-piece red brass bell that produces an expansive, warm, and singing tonal center with effortless projection across every dynamic level. The standard .547-inch large bore offers an open, commanding feel, perfectly matched with the patented Greenhoe rotary valve and yellow brass tubing for an exceptionally even, free-blowing response between the open horn and the F-attachment. Featuring a smooth rose brass handslide with a durable nickel silver crook and two interchangeable yellow brass leadpipes to customize your airflow and feel, the GC4-1R provides orchestral players, soloists, and advancing trombonists with the ultimate blend of finesse, power, and musical expression.
