EVH Striped Series Frankie - Red with Black and White Stripes Relic
Widely regarded as the most recognizable electric guitar in rock history, the EVH Striped Series Frankie brings Eddie Van Halen's iconic Frankenstein™ aesthetic to everyday players. Built around a lightweight basswood body paired with a rock-solid, graphite-reinforced quartersawn maple neck, this instrument is designed for pure high-speed performance. The fast-playing 12"-16" compound radius maple fingerboard and oiled neck finish make navigating blazing leads effortless, delivering the authentic tone and feel that defined an era of arena rock.
Driven by a direct-mount EVH Wolfgang humbucking bridge pickup, the Frankie delivers screaming highs, tight lows, and legendary sustain. True to Eddie’s original DIY modifications, the guitar features a reliced aesthetic complete with a dummy Strat neck pickup, a dummy five-way selector blade in the middle route, and a single skirted volume knob cheekily labeled "Tone."
Engineered for extreme pitch acrobatics, the top-mounted EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking tremolo operates alongside a Floyd Rose locking nut for rock-solid tuning stability. To top it off, the integrated EVH D-Tuna allows you to drop your low E string to D and back instantaneously.
