Description
Epiphone Prophecy SG - Crimson Fog Satin
The SG is an absolute legend in rock and metal history, famously wielded by iconic players like Angus Young, Tony Iommi, and Derek Trucks. Epiphone takes that iconic double-cutaway heritage and supercharges it for modern guitarists with the Prophecy SG in a striking Crimson Fog Satin finish. Built around a resonant mahogany body topped with a maple cap and figured flame maple veneer, this instrument balances warm, thick sustain with clear note attack. Its thermally aged, graphite-reinforced one-piece maple neck and bound ebony fingerboard provide exceptional stability and smooth performance, whether you're laying down heavy riffs or flying through solos.
Under the hood, the Prophecy SG is equipped with custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickups that offer unmatched tonal flexibility. Through intuitive push/pull master volume and tone controls, you can immediately switch between high-output modern active humbucker tones, classic vintage PAF-inspired character, and crisp single-coil articulation. Paired with a extended 25.5" scale length and a 10"-14" compound fretboard radius, low tunings stay tight, punchy, and clear across all 24 stainless steel frets.
Rounding out this modern powerhouse is a suite of premium black hardware, including Grover locking Rotomatic tuners, a Graph Tech nut, and a LockTone Modern bridge with a Frequensator-inspired string-through tailpiece for outstanding tuning stability and singing sustain. Every Epiphone Prophecy SG comes complete with a durable Protector Ultralite case so you can hit the road and take your tone anywhere.
