The 1964 SG Standard is widely considered the "holy grail" year for this iconic double-cutaway powerhouse. By '64, the SG had fully come into its own, moving away from the "Les Paul" branding and swapping the finicky sideways vibratos for the much more reliable Maestro Vibrola. This Epiphone Reissue, crafted in collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop, captures that magic with stunning accuracy. From the "open book" headstock to the classic beveled mahogany body, this guitar looks and feels like a true vintage survivor.
Under the hood, this SG is packed with premium components you’d usually only find on high-end boutique builds. It features a pair of genuine Gibson USA Custombucker pickups, hand-wired to CTS potentiometers and Black Beauty paper-in-oil capacitors.
