This amplifier does exactly that by taking the beloved tweed circuit and enhancing it with expanded tone shaping, a mid/gain pull boost, and a crucial Master Volume control. Unlike the original designs that often suffered from "flubby" low end when pushed, the CJ 11 features dedicated Treble and Bass controls. The Bass knob is particularly useful, allowing you to dial back low frequencies at high volumes to keep your overdrive tight and cutting, or crank it up to retain that classic, spongy compression and low-end sag when desired.

Under the hood, the CJ 11 is built for discerning players who crave dynamic responsiveness. It utilizes a pair of 6V6 power tubes running in Class A, delivering 11 watts of harmonically rich power that feels much louder and punchier than the rating suggests. The circuit upgrades the traditional 5Y3 rectifier to a stouter 5AR4/GZ34, which, combined with custom transformers and a beefed-up power supply, offers improved headroom and low-end clarity.
