Description
Open Box 2023 Bad Cat Jet Black 38 Watt 1x12 Combo Amp
Welcome to the next evolution of boutique British tone. Born from the celebrated DNA of Bad Cat’s iconic Black Cat circuit, the Jet Black takes that legendary harmonic chime and supercharges it with doubled output for players who need serious stage volume and headroom. Channel 1 delivers an immediate, in-your-face clean profile that rings with bell-like authority, swirling with harmonic richness and effortlessly slipping into natural edge-of-breakup grit when pushed. Switch to Channel 2, and you unleash an all-new high-gain voice engineered for rock purists—spanning decades of classic crunch to modern saturation while retaining incredible string definition and touch responsiveness.
Under the hood, the Jet Black relies on a powerhouse all-tube engine featuring three 12AX7 preamp tubes and a quartet of EL84 power tubes. The 12AX7s shape a thick, harmonically dense preamp gain structure that stays focused and defined at every level. The quartet of EL84 power tubes imparts that beloved British character: shimmering highs, a punchy and vocal midrange punch, and a tight low end that never flubs out. Because of this tube configuration, the amp breathes naturally with your playing dynamics, allowing you to clean up your tone simply by adjusting your guitar's volume knob or varying your pick attack.
Built to withstand a lifetime of gigging and recording, the Jet Black is housed in a robust, road-ready Baltic birch cabinet and loaded with a 12-inch Celestion Vintage 30 speaker. Bad Cat’s custom-wound transformers ensure massive dynamic range and transient response, while modern appointments like studio-grade digital reverb, lush bias-modulated tremolo, and a transparent buffered effects loop make integrating your favorite pedals seamless. It is a gloriously unrestrained, inspiring amplifier that puts total musical expression right under your fingers.
Condition:Mint. Open box. Light wear typical of a gently used Item. Light surface scratches, scuffs, etc.
