Under the hood, you’ve got the 85/15 pickups, personally designed by Paul Reed Smith to give you a crystalline high end and a punchy low end that never gets muddy. Whether you’re channeling the smooth leads of Carlos Santana or the versatile rock textures of Al Di Meola, this guitar delivers the goods. The 2024 updates include the new "Wing" tuner buttons—a design dating back to 1982—which are lighter than metal buttons to allow the strings to vibrate more freely, resulting in a more musical, sustaining ring.
