This combo maintains the uncompromising point-to-point, hand-wired construction Matchless is famous for, while opening up a new world of versatility for the gigging guitarist. Visually, it is as stunning as it sounds, featuring the signature backlit nameplate and a unique channel indicator system that lights up in patriotic red, white, and blue, letting you know exactly which sonic territory you are exploring.

The tonal character of the Independence 35 is shaped by a meticulously selected tube configuration. The power section is driven by two cathode self-biasing EL34 tubes, delivering a robust 35 watts of output characterized by punchy mids, tight lows, and aggressive authority. A 5AR4 rectifier tube provides that essential vintage "sag" and touch responsiveness, making the amp feel alive under your fingers. With three distinct channels—ranging from the shimmering clarity of Channel 1 to the high-gain fire of Channel 3—and a bypassable Master Volume with a Cut control to tailor your high frequencies, this amp delivers a massive spectrum of sounds without sacrificing organic tone.
