Martin Custom Shop 0-18 Concert Style - Ambertone 1933

This Custom Shop creation takes the intimate, focused voice of the classic "0" Concert body and elevates it with some of Nazareth’s finest appointments. At the heart of this build is a Premium M1 Grade Sitka Spruce top treated with Martin’s Vintage Tone System (VTS). This torrefaction process ages the wood at a cellular level, giving you the structural stability and—more importantly—the broken-in, resonant sound of a guitar from the pre-war era right out of the case. The Ambertone 1933 finish adds a stunning visual warmth that perfectly matches the sonic character of the instrument.

Paired with the VTS top are genuine Mahogany back and sides, a combination that defines the legendary "18-style" sound. The mahogany provides a dry, woody, and balanced fundamental tone that sits perfectly in a mix, while the Black Ebony fretboard ensures clear, articulate sustain and a fast attack. Because of the smaller 14-fret "0" body size and the Scalloped Golden Era Style X-bracing, this guitar is incredibly responsive to a light touch, making it an absolute dream for fingerstyle players or singer-songwriters looking for a comfortable "couch cannon" that doesn't sacrifice volume for size.

While this model channels the spirit of vintage instruments played by folk legends like Woody Guthrie or more modern troubadours like Steve Earle, it features a modern High Performance Neck Taper for effortless playability. The short 24.9" scale length lowers string tension, making bends easier and reducing hand fatigue during long writing sessions. This is a highly specialized instrument that bridges the gap between Golden Era tone and modern custom shop precision.

  • Classic Tonewood Pairing: Genuine Mahogany back and sides coupled with an Ebony fingerboard offer a timeless blend of warmth and articulation.
