Experience the ferocity of a boutique amp in a compact, portable package with the Bad Cat Ocelot tube head. This amp is designed to deliver a wide spectrum of pro-level tones, from sparkling cleans to aggressive high-gain drive, making it a versatile tool for any guitarist. The tone is shaped by a tube complement featuring two EL84 power tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. The EL84s are known for their harmonically rich, chimey breakup when pushed, giving this amp a classic British-style tone. Its solid construction, with a heavy-duty aluminum chassis, ensures it can withstand the rigors of the road while a built-in handle makes for easy transport.
The Ocelot’s circuit design offers impressive flexibility, featuring two versatile channels with independent volumes and switchable Hi/Lo gain modes. This allows players to dial in a wide range of sounds, from warm vintage crunch to modern, saturated lead tones. For silent practice or studio work, the Ocelot features an integrated Two notes Torpedo™ system, providing six Bad Cat DynIR™ cab simulations that you can send to a cabinet-simulated XLR or headphone output. Additionally, the amp’s power can be scaled down from its full 20 watts to just 1 watt, making it perfect for quieter sessions without sacrificing the cranked-amp tone.
