This guitar was hand-signed and played by David Grissom during his Springfield clinic on November 21, 2025.
This isn't just a high-performance instrument; it is a piece of Palen Music Center history. This specific guitar was hand-signed and played by the legendary David Grissom himself during his clinic here in Springfield, MO, on November 21, 2025. The DGT (David Grissom Trem) represents the pinnacle of a twenty-year collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and David Grissom, a player known for his impeccable ears and soulful Texas tone. Built on the McCarty platform, this model features a visually stunning "10 Top" Maple cap over a resonant Mahogany body, finished in a classic McCarty Tobacco Sunburst that exudes vintage elegance.
The magic of the DGT lies in the details that Grissom obsessed over. It features a specific neck carve that feels substantial yet fast, and taller frets that make bending effortless. The real heart of the beast, however, is the electronics. Paul and David A/B’d over forty sets of pickups to recreate the vocal, expansive tone of vintage PAFs, resulting in the DGT humbuckers.
