Description
Fender '59 Esquire Heavy Relic - Graffiti Yellow
Get ready to rock and roll with a guitar that is a pure, unadulterated tone machine! The Fender Custom Shop '59 Esquire Heavy Relic is a stunning tribute to the original single-pickup legend, but with a surprising humbucker twist. The foundation of this sonic beast is a classic Ash body, which offers that quintessential Tele-style twang, crystal-clear highs, and a responsive feel that only this tonewood can provide. This particular model was designed in collaboration with Palen Music Center, ensuring a unique blend of vintage aesthetics and powerful, custom-selected components. Paired with a magnificent Roasted Flame 3A Maple neck carved into a comfortable '59 Esquire "C" profile, you get a neck that's not only visually spectacular but offers incredible stability and sustain. This guitar feels like a well-loved vintage piece right out of the tweed case, thanks to the fantastic heavy relic treatment.
The biggest secret weapon in this Esquire is the Seymour Duncan Antiquity Humbucker in the bridge position. This isn't your grandpa's single-coil Esquire; the Antiquity Humbucker is wound a little hotter and modeled after those coveted "P.A.F." humbuckers from the late '50s. It delivers a powerful, open, and articulate sound with a spongy vintage warmth, ready to growl for a great rock tone or clean up beautifully with the volume rolled back. The unique "Full Throttle" Esquire wiring provides three distinct tonal options, with position one bypassing both tone and volume controls for a raw, high-output kick—pure volume and pure tone straight to the amp!
The Esquire legacy is massive, proving that sometimes, less is truly more. This model was Fender's very first solid-body electric, predating the Telecaster! Rock legends have embraced the simplicity and bite of the Esquire over the decades, including Bruce Springsteen, Jeff Beck, and David Gilmour. This Custom Shop '59 model is a unique collector's piece that pays homage to that incredible history while giving you a modern, versatile instrument ready for the stage or studio.
