While the circuit draws its initial inspiration from the iconic 1950s tweed designs, it evolves that platform significantly. Rather than a limiting single-knob tone control, the CCC 9/15 offers dedicated treble and bass filters. This allows for precise sculpting of the low-end, enhancing clarity and headroom even when the amp is driven into saturation—a critical feature for maintaining definition at live performance volumes.

The true heart of this amplifier's tone lies in its selectable tube power section. The CCC 9/15 allows you to toggle between two distinct output modes, effectively giving you two classic amps in one chassis. In the 9-watt mode, the amp is powered by a pair of 6V6 tubes running in Class A, delivering the smooth, full-bodied, and compressed warmth typical of 1950s American amplifiers.
