Mojo Hand FX 1979 (70s Style Op-Amp Fuzz w/ Tone Bypass)

The 1979 is here! The infamously high gain Big Muffs from the late 1970s are the inspiration for the 1979. It has op-amps in place of the conventional transistors used in every other Big Muff variation and is favored by many performers for its extreme grunge distortion, most notably Billy Corgan.

The 1979 features a footswitch to bypass the tone knob, so you get ALL the bass, ALL the treble, and a HUGE helping of extra mids and volume. Perfect for slamming your amp into a ripping solo, or doom/stoner mode. The tone bypass has it’s own volume knob so you can set it to unity or boost. We also adjusted the taper of the original gain pot to have a more usable sweep.

Like all Mojo Hand FX products, this pedal is housed in a sturdy, die-cast aluminum enclosure with professional powder coating and printing.
