Gain I, with its newly added footswitchable Clean mode, delivers classic British-inspired crunch and dynamic rhythm tones, perfect for everything from classic rock to searing hard rock. Engage Gain II, and you're plunged into tight, aggressive American high-gain grind, ideal for progressive, extended-range, and modern metal players seeking maximum clarity and percussive attack. The all-valve circuit is powered by four 12AX7 (ECC83) preamp tubes, which contribute to the amp's rich harmonic content and responsiveness, and two 6L6 power amp tubes (standard), offering a bold, articulate tone with excellent headroom. The ability to switch to EL34 power tubes allows for further tonal customization, emphasizing a warmer, more British-style power amp saturation.

Beyond its impressive gain capabilities, the Kraken MKII offers remarkable flexibility for tone sculpting. A potent 3-band EQ, along with new Presence and Presence Shift controls, allows you to dial in your desired amount of high-frequency sizzle and bite.
