The JW-1, Reverend Jenn Wasner's signature model, harmonizes the impactful force of the Charger HB with the artistic style inspired by Jenn's various musical ventures (Wye Oak, Flock of Dimes, Dungeonesse). In collaboration with Baltimore's talented textile artist, April Camlin, who designs Jenn's stage attire, we developed a captivating graphic named "Optic Interruption." This visual display matches the dynamic nature of the instrument's sound, resulting in an enthralling overall experience.

We design our own proprietary custom pickups, to achieve the best tonal match with our instruments. Reverend pickups are also specifically designed for each position, for balanced volume and tone when switching.
The body of the JW-1 is topped with a graphic from textile artist April Camlin’s “Optic Interruption,” while the back and sides are Midnight Black to highlight the pattern. She adapted the pattern for the project, and Reverend designer Joe Naylor matched it to the Charger HB-style guitar.
Korina (aka White Limba) is a medium-light weight wood, highly prized for consistency and tonal qualities. Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverends feature Korina bodies. A highly resonant wood, Korina is a key factor to producing our lively, responsive instruments that are rich in harmonics.
This passive bass roll-off is great for tightening up the low end, or re-voicing the pickups. It can make a humbucker sound like a single-coil, or give a P-90 that classic twang. Variable pickup voicing at your fingertips!
