The Made in Japan International Color Series brings back a beloved and unique collection from Fender history that had a limited production run over four decades ago. This captivating International Color collection, originally introduced in 1981, featured '70s-style appointments and a fresh range of colors inspired by exotic and alluring locations. Today, these International Colors are highly sought after by collectors due to their rarity and exotic charm. Now, in a limited release, the Made in Japan International Color Series combines the vibrant vintage Fender vibe with the craftsmanship of Japan, resulting in a truly special offering.
Deviating from the traditional design, these guitars feature resonant basswood bodies, maple or rosewood fingerboards with a 9.5" radius, and medium jumbo frets to accommodate adventurous playing styles. The neck follows the '70s "U" shape, complete with a convenient "Bullet" style truss rod nut, "F" Stamped ™ tuners, and the serial number displayed on the headstock face, just like the original. Equipped with vintage-style single-coil Tele® pickups and a 3-saddle bridge with chrome barrel saddles, these guitars deliver the iconic Fender tone and feel.
