For the year 2023, Fender Custom Shop presents the Limited Edition Custom '62 Strat Journeyman Relic—a truly special guitar featuring a two-piece select ash body, roasted quartersawn maple neck, and a flat-laminated rosewood fingerboard. This unique combination delivers a sweet midrange, tight lows, and an extra snap on the top end, providing an exceptional tone.

The Journeyman Relic finish in Vintage Blonde is lightly worn, complementing the guitar's elegant appearance when paired with the gold Closet Classic hardware. Drawing inspiration from the celebrated golden-era Stratocasters, the '60s-style oval "C"-shaped neck starts off thin near the nut and gradually fills out towards the 12th fret, ensuring a comfortable and full feel while playing.

Equipped with a three-ply black pickguard, the guitar boasts a set of hand-wound Fat '64 Strat pickups—with a RWRP middle pickup and a reverse angle bridge pickup—along with Fat '50s ½ Blender wiring, allowing easy access to a wide range of tones.
