Program Overview

Our Beginning Band program is specifically designed for students ages 10-13 who are just starting their musical journey. The program focuses on teaching the fundamentals of music in a fun and engaging environment, helping students build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for music.

• Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
• Time: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
• Location: Palen Music Center in Springfield, MO

Monthly Tuition

We offer flexible monthly payment plans:

• All Instruments (except Alto Sax): $250/month
• Alto Sax: $317/month

Own Your Instrument: If you already own an instrument, the cost is:

• $167/month

What’s Included in Tuition with Rental:

• A like-new, high-quality instrument rental, maintenance, and replacement coverage and sales tax.
• Rental payments apply toward instrument ownership—interest-free, with a 25% discount on the balance for payoff
• Students keep their instruments during off-months

Note: Books and accessories are sold separately and are not included in the tuition.

• Steve Palen: A State Champion Band Director with extensive experience and a passion for teaching young musicians. Steve ensures that every student receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

Performance Opportunities

At the end of each semester, students will have a performance night to showcase their progress.
