Dubbed "the guitar of Slash's dreams," this limited-edition 1958 Les Paul Standard is a show stopper. Slash's Brazilian Dream is an accurate replica of a priceless golden-era instrument. It's teeming with Slash's favorite historic specs and appointments, including a genuine solid Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and hide glue throughout. Experience spot-on vintage PAF tone, thanks to a set of Custombucker pickups and handwired electronics. Enjoy comfortable playability, courtesy of a '58 "C"-shaped neck with a period-correct long tenon. This Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Standard is destined to become a timeless collectable — each guitar has been hand-signed and numbered by Slash himself.
To revive the essence of Slash's dream 1958 Les Paul, Gibson painstakingly re-created each part piece by piece. The surprisingly lightweight mahogany body, 2-piece maple top, and solid Brazilian rosewood fingerboard are only the beginning. Not only do you get the '58 "C"-shaped neck you've been craving, but the accuracy of the details go all the way down to the straight-line positioning of this limited-edition 1958 Les Paul Standard's vintage-style Kluson tuners, the size and shape of its cellulose trapezoid inlays, and its '50-style long neck tenon joint.
Beginning with a handwired harness and Bumblebee capacitors, every part of this 1958 Les Paul Standard's internal signal path was designed to give you absolutely dead-on 1958 Les Paul tone. Of course, it's next to impossible to find genuine '50s PAFs (even for Gibson). Instead, Slash's Brazilian Dream sports a pair of Gibson's Custombucker humbuckers. The Custombucker is the most historically accurate PAF copy ever. You just won't find another Les Paul that comes as close to the original look, sound, and feel of a 1958 Les Paul!
Something magical happened when Gibson paired mahogany and maple for the Les Paul. Its lightweight mahogany back offers warmth and sustain that is beautifully translated through its humbucking pickups. Its 2-piece maple top brings more than aesthetics to the table — it also lends a brighter edge to complement the mahogany. Together these two tonewoods have given us the recipe for tone that helped define rock n' roll over the years. Slash's Brazilian Dream also features a gorgeous thin VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
