Built for live performance AND recording

Coming in at 500 watts, the Exponent is more than enough for most any gig situation, but it doesn't stop there. Thanks to its integration with the Darkglass Suite app, the Exponent 500 offers a plethora of effects, including IRs to give you the perfect DI recording sounds. On top of that, the built-in USB-C port on the back of the amp functions as an audio interface, giving you the ability to record bass tracks directly from your amp to your computer. 

All the connectivity you could ever dream of

The Darkglass Exponent 500 offers a variety of options for connectivity. Building on the XLR Direct Out and USB-C port mentioned above, there is also a speakON-1/4" combo jack speaker output, a 1/4" send and return for the Effects Loop, and a 1/4" headphone jack for silent practice. The amp is also compatible with MIDI devices, via a 7-pin MIDI port on the back, however for anything aside fro the Darkglass MIDI Footswitch, you'll use 5-pin connectivity. You can also connect your amp to a device via Bluetooth to tweak your sound with the Darkglass Suite.

Pristine clean tones to build upon with Darkglass Suite

The Darkglass Exponent 500 provides you with an incredible all-analog clean tone, but the Darkglass Suite provides you with loads of effects to really kick your sound up a notch! Connect via the USB-C port or Bluetooth and explore a whole library of effects and tone-shaping capabilities. Choose from IRs, overdrives, preamps, filters, compressors, modulation, noise suppression, and time effects, just to name a few.

Silent Practice Tool

Using the 1/4" stereo headphone jack and Bluetooth compatibility with your device, you can practice or warm up silently, even with your full rig set up and connected. You can even use Bluetooth to pipe in whatever songs you want to play along with, all in your headphones.
