The PMC Quick Note is a service provided to all area directors. It is part of our mission to support the lives of band directors across the Midwest. The Quick Note contains helpful tips and suggestions from area directors, spotlights on area college and university band programs, calendars of upcoming events, advocacy articles promoting music education, links to helpful web resources, and much more.  Comments, suggestions, ideas, and articles are always welcome.

Thank you to Steve McClard, Director of Bands for Bolivar Schools for submitting the information below.

I wanted to call your attention to a great new website at www.iSchoolBand.com.  I think this will prove to be a great tool that band directors will use.  It really might just be the final answer for communicating with students and parents.  It's basically a social network for band programs that also acts as an outstanding communication tool for the director.  It's private and filtered which makes it appealing to parents.  Watch the video under 'about' from the main page for more.  Feel free to link my email if you put this out on your quicknote.  I would be glad to answer questions for anyone.

It's still in beta right now but it's still really amazing.  We are just getting kids signed in this week.  So far the students love it.  $149 a year introductory.
