Last year, we unveiled a new line of recruiting materials specifically for beginning band recruiting. We called it the "Be In Band" campaign. Last year's DVD 2-disc package included recruiting handouts, parent letters, recruiting timeline and tips, along with a five-minute video that really got kids excited about joining the band program. Schools that utilized the videos and handouts showed a significant increase in student enrollment and it also saved the directors time and hassle in creating the materials.
We are currently putting the finishing touches on an updated recruiting package, which contains both a five-minute and fifteen-minute video. Each video contains student testimonials about what it means to be part of a band program. Teachers can choose which video length best suits their recruiting needs. There are also updated handouts and materials to make your job easier and more successful. Together, we can help more kids "Be In Band".
We hope to continue to expand this program with more options, customizeable forms, orchestra recruiting materials and video, and more. Your feedback will help us to put the finishing touches on this project.
