Missouri State University Bands Alive Summer Music Camp The Auxiliary Camp runs from Thursday, June 21-24, 2007. The Concert Band Camp runs from Monday, July 16-20, 2007. Fees for the concert camp are $279 and the auxiliary camp costs $229. Campers will be housed in the University residence halls. Meals will be served in the University dining centers. Campers will receive a Bands Alive 2007 t-shirt. For more information, view the camp brochure or camp application. |

| University of Missouri-Columbia Summer Band Camp The Mizzou Junior High Band Camp will be held on June 10-15, 2007 and the High School Band Camp will run June 17-22, 2007. Ninth graders may attend either or both camps. Residential cost includes tuition, a camp t-shirt, rooming in the residence halls, and all meals. Commuter cost includes tuition, a camp t-shirt and lunch. This year MBC is offering courses in basic band conducting, world music and percussion in addition to music appreciation and theory. University of Central Missouri Music Camp The UCM Music Camp 07 runs from June 3-8, 2007. The on-campus fees are $340 and commuter fees are $190. A UCM Music Camp t-shirt is complimentary. Enrichment classes in music technology, music fundamentals, theory, conducting, and more are available. Private lessons are also available. | University of Kansas Midwestern Music Camp The Midwestern Music Camp offers many different tracks of study including junior high band and orchestra camp from June 10-16, senior high band and orchestra camp from June 17-23, choral institute from June 24-30, marching band leadership camp from July 8-12, and the KU jazz workshop from July 8-13. Elective classes including music theory, music appreciation, rhythm techniques, conducting, and improvisation are available. Private lessons are also available. University of Arkansas Summer Music Camp This is the 50th anniversary of the Arkansas Summer Music Camp. The junior high band camp runs July 8-13; the senior high band camp runs July 15-21; the junior and senior high orchestra camp runs July 15-21. Private lessons are available. Regular resident rates are $350 for the junior high band camp, $380 for the senior high band camp, and $380 for the orchestra camp. Regular commuter rates are $255 for the junior high band camp, $280 for the senior high band camp, and $280 for the orchestra camp. | University of Missouri-Kansas City Jazz Camp Designed for instrumentalists and vocalists from middle school through adult, this day camp features bass player and bandleader, Jim Widner, and UMKC Conservatory jazz faculty. Participants will be exposed to all aspects of jazz through master classes, ensemble work, theory and improvisation training and concerts. The camp runs from June 24-29, 2007. Tuition runs $340. | Jefferson College Viking Band Camp Jefferson College is located in Hillsboro, Missouri and is putting on two weeks of junior high band camps. The first week is from July 16-20, 2007 and the second week is July 23-27, 2007. Multi-week discounts are available. The cost for resident campers is $200, which includes four nights lodging in the residental complex, all meals, activities and everything in the commuter option. The cost of commuter campers is $100, which includes master classes, instruction, music education classes, lunch, recreation, t-shirt, and the concert. Missouri State Lions Band The Missouri State Lions Band is taking applications through the end of April. The band will gather for camp at Southeast Missouri State University from June 28-30 and will travel to Chicago for sightseeing, performances and competition in the Lions International Convention Parade on July 4 along Michigan Avenue. Cost for the trip is $650 per student and support is available through many local Lions Clubs. The band is led by SEMO Director of Bands Barry Bernhardt as well as SEMO graduate staff and area band directors. A great experience for any high school band member! Southwestern Oklahoma State University Summer Music Camps There are many opportunities for music students this summer at SWOSU, located in Weatherford, Oklahoma just west of Oklahoma City. The campus is hosting its 4th annual Jazz and Guitar Camp from June 4-8, its 32nd annual double reed camp from June 10-13, its 34th annual Choral Camp from June 17-20, its 19th annual Middle School Band Camp from June 24-27, its 15th annual Colorguard and Marching Percussion Camp from July 1-3, its 4th annual String Camp from July 8-13, and its 52nd Annual Band Camp from July 8-13.
